The Therapist, The Client, and The Symptoms
A workshop by Dr. Brian Roet
Dr. Roet’s workshop will explore how therapy is tailored to the above three components.
Many of you will have read all the books, been to all the seminars, attended lectures but still in your heart of heart you know there’s something missing. It’s a bit like the X-factor but in therapy and this is something you need. We believe Dr Brian Roet has the ability to bring out the therapy X-factor in all of us.
We will learn about the character of the therapist; the nature of the client and the underlying psychological causes of the symptoms, and how these three determine the outcome of therapy.
We will start from
the first phone call for an appointment and follow the many twists and turns that will hopefully lead to a successful resolution.
Along the way we will hopefully all learn a great deal, both about therapy and ourselves, by means of exercises and demonstrations.
There are three aims of the workshop
- to learn new techniques
- to improve your therapeutic skills
- to have fun
Dr Roet is a medical doctor from Australia and a Fellow of the NCH. 
His career detoured though many different stages before becoming a hypnotherapist.
He was a professional footballer (of the Aussie Rules variety),a G.P, an anaesthetist, a counsellor and then by accident a hypnotherapist.
He came to the U.K for a holiday thirty years ago and has been here ever since, (not because of the weather!), and runs workshops in the U.K and abroad.
The workshop is on
Saturday 15th September 2012 – 9:30 – 4:30
Sunday 16th September 2012 – 10:00 – 4:30
It is held at The Surrey Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy, 274 London Road, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 7DJ.
We are just 25 minutes from London Victoria station with good local rail and bus routes. Parking is available.
The workshop counts as 12 hours CPD and costs £199. NCH CPD discounts are accepted.
